Getting started
This section will guide you through the steps of setting up your Zeemote Ready Java game to work with your Zeemote JS1 Controller. See our Zeemote Ready Java Games pagefor a list of compatible games.
Before you begin, you must make sure that your mobile phone is charged. Make sure Bluetooth ® wireless technology is turned on. Consult the user's manual on your phone for more details.
Now turn on your JS1. Press and hold Button D for 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue and amber. Button D is the button on top of the controller, behind the thumbstick. Setting up and running a new Zeemote Ready™ Game
Each Zeemote Ready game needs to be set up with the JS1 Controller you wish to use. The game handles the connection process similar to other Bluetooh devices you may have experienced.
- Make sure your phone is charged, turned on, and has Bluetooth® enabled.
- Turn on your Zeemote JS1 Controller.
- Navigate to the games section of your phone, and run the new Zeemote Ready game.
One-time setup: turning on Auto Connect and setting up your controller
The Auto Connect preference
Each Zeemote Ready game has an internal preference called "Auto Connect". Turn this on if you would like the game to automatically look for a controller every time the game starts up (recommended). If it is turned off, you can still play a game with a Zeemote JS1 by explicitly connecting to it. See section "Running a Zeemote Ready Game that was set up previously" for details.
Turn on Auto Connect
- Go to the game's Main Menu.
- Navigate to Settings (sometimes also called Preferences or Options).
- Navigate to the Controller entry. Click to open the Controller menu.
- Navigate to the "Auto Connect" preference and click to turn it on. Setting up your controller
- Make sure your Zeemote JS1 Controller is turned on. Check that the LED is slowly flashing amber and blue.
- Select the option to search for devices. Your phone will now take a few moments to find Bluetooth® wireless technology enabled devices in the area. Be patient; if there are many devices in range, the search may take a few minutes.
- Once the search is completed, a list of Bluethooth® wireless technology enabled devices will be displayed. Choose the device labeled "Zeemote JS1" from the list.
- When the connection is established, the phone will say "Connected to Zeemote JS1", and the controller's LED will slowly flash blue. Your Zeemote Ready game is now set up to run with your Zeemote JS1.
- The next time you run this application, it should automatically connect to your Zeemote JS1 controller. Additionally, you can select "Reconnect" from the application menu to reconnect without searching.
Good to know:
Depending on your phone's manufacturer and settings, you may be asked whether you want to allow the application to use connectivity options. If so, please select "Yes". Enter "0000" if prompted for a PIN or passcode.
